The CareerXroads Colloquium was hosted at DaVita in Denver, Colorado from 5/2 - 5/4/2011. This was a great event where sourcing leaders from top companies across the United States got together sharing best practices with each other. This was a great environment for learning!
I was able to share and demo of the PepsiCo Possibilities employment application for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. I was able to project it directly from my iPad onto the large screen for a real-time walk through. Other people were able to share stories about sourcing, discuss new cool tools and best ways to locate talent. Overall, the best thing about the CareerXroads Colloquium is the networking and the ability to interact/speak with people that are doing the same thing you are.
Mark Mehler and Gerry Crispin lead CareerXroads and do a great job of facilitation. They encourage everyone to share and be open with the confidence that what is shared in the room can stay in the room (if needed). It is so nice to share best practices or bounce a question/situation to the group and get quick recommendations. Overall, this was a great event.
